When you bid on PRICELINE you have to be willing to accept a hotel at the star rating you select (or higher) anywhere in the zone. If you look at PRICELINE's (please use this link) "Beach" zone you could receive a hotel that is not directly on the beach. You can see the hotels in this area which have been reported to the board here: Priceline Hotel List, but as per the comments at the top of that page, the list is only hotels which have been reported to the board and you could be the first to receive a new hotel not yet reported (or a hotel previoulsy reported but at a new star rating) Are you willing to accept a hotel anywhere within PRICELINE's boundaries of the "Beach" zone?
If not, HOTWIRE would still be an option as it allows you to knw beforehand if the hotel you're being offered is on the beach or not, based upon the Beachfront amenity icon (not to be confused with the "Near Beach" icon which looks similar but has an arrow in it as well)
Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
