Hi, I am new to the board and love it! I am currently in the process of bidding on a 5* hotel in the south vicinity and am just wondering how many hotels are actually in this category (and what hotels they are). I think that the only 2 are the Hotel at Mandalay Bay or the Bellagio?? Is this correct? If I were to place a bid in this category, would these be the only hotels I would get? I would be happy with either!
Thanks for your help! |

Welcome to BetterBidding
The only reported 5* hotel for the moment in the South Strip zone is TheHotel at Mandalay Bay. But things can change anytime. Link to: Priceline Las Vegas Hotels Let us know if you need any help with your stay. Yellowdog. |

We are staying from May 28th to June 1st (4 nights). We were looking to pay around 130-140 a night but that may not be possible at that time if that is the only hotel. I think there is a big UFC event going on there that weekend. We would try the North Vicinity but don't really want to stay at the Trump Towers and Hotwire's price is a little steep for our budget. We may have to look at a 4*. Should we wait to book seeing as we have some time or should we jump on something now? It is a long weekend, there is a UFC event on, and I think the World Series of Poker starts around then too! Gonna be busy. Your thoughts?

Nobody can say if prices will go down, or up, between now and your stay... it's all based upon supply/demand and how reservations and cancelaltions at the hotel come in relative to current expecations. For more on this subject see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.
Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood Towers both seem to be available within your price range, so perhaps consider how you feel about either of these properties vs. holding out for a drop in rates for a 5* hotel (keeping in mind that rates for the above hotels could go up while you continue to hope for a 5* rate drop, which may never materialize) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know your thoughts and we'll take it from there. -------------------- Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
