canadiantraveler
Hi,My husband, son and I have an early morning plane to catch from the Toronto Pearson Airport on Sat., Feb. 13 and we need to drive in from out-of-town. Therefore, I am looking to stay at a hotel at or near the airport on Friday, Feb. 12. I've looked on Hotwire today (Sun., Jan. 24) and the descriptions of the available hotels are as follows:4* Lester B. Pearson Intl Airport YYZ Hotel: $69 + Taxes & fees $15.50 = $84.50 USSmoke Free Rooms Airport ShuttleFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet AccessGolf Nearby3.5*Lester B. Pearson Intl Airport YYZ Hotel: $59 + Taxes & fees $16.13 = $75.13 USAirport ShuttleFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)High-speed Internet AccessWould someone be able to help me identify the possible 4* and 3.5* that matches the above descriptions? Thank-you in advance for your help. Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! The 4* is a match for the Westin Bristol Place while the 3.5* is a match for the Crowne Plaza, so that would be my best guess for each. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. canadiantraveler
Hi, Thanks for your help. I decided that I did not want to stay at the Westin Bristol Place or the Crowne Plaza as they require an airport shuttle to go to and back from the airport. I had a bad experience waiting a very long time to get a shuttle back to the hotel to pick up my car after a long flight. In the end, my family and I booked a room at the Sheraton Gateway hotel, which is located right at one of the airport terminals. We booked directly with the hotel and did not use Priceline or Hotwire since there was a parking package we could get with the hotel where we could leave our car at the hotel parking lot for up to one week for an additional cost with one night's stay. yellowdog
Thanx for the follow-up and closing this thread. Please remember to always follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing, even if you chose to book direct, cancel your trip, etc. Please check for and use the links in our Support Page whenever possible for your non-opaque purchases, as we have links there to most of the major hotel chains and online booking agencies (including the Sheraton). Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches. Yellowdog. Link to comment
