Vienna - Hilton Plaza via Hotwire Options

Hello,

I am new to this board, but find it quite intriguing and helpful.

I need to get the Hilton Plaza hotel in Vienna for one night, either May 18 or May 19 (I have points to get one free night via Hilton Rewards). I have read the posts regarding Vienna hotels on this board, but it seems there is a discrepancy.

In looking at the current Hotwire rates for a 5* Vienna East - Landstrasse - Wieden Hotel it says that there are "460+ reviews on TripAdvisor" as of January 2010. The hotel that has that many reviews is the Le Meridien (at 469), NOT the Hilton Plaza (only 156 reviews).

Anyone have any insight to this offer on Hotwire?

For the 4.5* 5/18 to 5/19 (I suspect this is the Hilton Plaza hotel) for $156/night:

I agree that the best guess for the 5* is the Le Meridien, but i'm not so sure that the 4.5* is the Hilton, as that would represent a new star rating and amenity combination for that hotel... while it's possible, i wouldn't jump to that conclusion without some further supporting evidence, but unfortunately HOTWIRE doesn't provide any additional clues for this property.

The Hilton Plaza has previous had a Boutique Hotel icon in the amenities.

my search is for 26th to 28th in Vienna and I get a 5* with
Fitness Center
Pool(s)
Restaurant(s)
Business Center
Laundry Facilities
High-speed Internet Access

for $106/night

I suppose it's the Le Meridien? Does Hilton have a pool as well? So this could be the Hilton Plaza as well :-(

Strange is that Hotwire say shows 4,5 at TA out of 50+ reviews but I can't find any hotel with 4,5 and 50+ reviews???
