we went through the stages in booking a room on hotwire and and were sure it was for long beach ,los angeles, and it showed up the same way about 5 times and we booked the room and it turned up to be at arcadia in los angeles county. and it was frustrating trying to explain to people in hotwire that this happened, i am very sure that it said long beach all through until the full booking was made. has anyone else had the same problems??? and what can i do about it???

I also had problems with hotwire. In booking a hotel room the process seemed very easy until the end. After finalizing the booking I thought I should call the hotel to make sure they allow pets as I always travel with a small dog. These days many people are traveling with their pets. Throughout the whole booking process it did not once ask about pets, only children. When I contacted the hotel, sure enough they DON'T allow pets. I contacted hotwire right away and the very rude CS rep told me "we only deal with humans". So now I am not only out the money for that reservation but I have to book and pay for another room.

I also had the same problem. I was told to use Expedia which identifies the hotel first, then phone then book. It seems to me that there is a breach of agreement because new rules (ie no dogs) are introduced after the booking is made. I wish hotwire would include we take pets on the hotel amenities.

Start here with Our Rules and Polcies:
No where did it state that the hotel you were purchasing allows dogs, so there is no breach of contract. HOTWIRE (and PRICELINE) are for users who are flexible in the hotel and location they receive, if you need (vs. want) a specific amenity not covered by one of the icons HOTWIRE shows, then HOTWIRE is probably not the best option for your stay.
As per above please post the details of your win to the board.
