Priceline just hit me up for 25% on top of the accepted bid for Taxes and Fees. The actual rate is 12.5% (This is in VA Beach). Has anyone else noticed higher than normal fees or taxes?
It's not such a good deal if they screw you on the back end and you have no way to get out of add on charges.
EDIT- OK, They tell you the Taxes and Fees before you put in a bid. I just tried for Cleveland OH, which has a 20% surcharge. I guess it's Buyer Beware.

I'm pretty sure that fee for booking a room is a flat fee as well as the taxes. So you're percentage that you see only depends on the amount that you bid. If you bid 300$ for a room, the total fee percentage would be most likely closer to the taxes of the region you're bidding in.
