My buddy and I are going to get a hotel but we want two double beds in the room, not the one obviously, is this selectable after winning?

Can you choose two double beds instead of one after winning?

No. As stated on the PRICELINE bidding page, only one bed is guaranteed. You can request two beds by contacting the hotel, but they could say no - and even if they do take your request, then it's just a "request" and may not be something they are able to do at checkin.
On HOTWIRE, if you choose two people you are more than likely going to get one bed.

With HOTWIRE you can search for more triple or quad occupancy which would ensure separate sleeping accomodations for each of you (although the 'second bed' may be a pullout sofabed or rollaway brought into the room)

One other question about this issue.. I will be traveling with my family of four (2 adults, 2 kids).
For the last week, I have been trying to get a 4* hotel in Victoria BC Canada on Priceline for around $100.
So far, no luck.
In Hotwire, when I enter "1 room, 4 people," I get almost no results.
When I enter "1 room, 2 people," I get many more results...
I am willing to deal with the risk on insufficient beds on PRICELINE...are the HOTWIRE conditions the same?
Thanks for your help.

Generally speaking, 'yes', but not really sure specifically which "conditions" you're refering to.
