I have searched this forum, maybe someone can help.
Why is there different zones in a certain city ( Portsmouth, NH, Portland ME...) in priceline.com
When you check for hotels in Portland you see 9 zones, when you go to NYOP - you "only" see 3 zones to bid from?
What have I missed reading?
Thank You
Jesper

There are different zones to allow people to try for a hotel in a specific area of the city, rather than just having people bid on a hotel anywhere in the city. I'm not sure how PRICELINE splits up each city into zones, but I'm guessing it's a combination of how many hotels in an area/where they are as well as taking into consideration "popular areas".

If you're trying to use the retail version to determine what you will get thru the bidding side or PRICELINE, you shouldn't do this as each uses their own universe of hotels... there is a lot of overlap, but there are hotel on the retail side which do not participate with the 'name your own price' side and vice-versa. (this is explained further in the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ)
Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
