This is a great hotel! Easy to reach from DC by either car or Metro. The lobby is big, check-in usually smooth.

My wife is a HH member, so they gave us a room on the HH VIP floor. The rooms there are fantastic. We were given a Double. Very comfy beds with lots of pillows. The bathroom is a bit small but you'll get used to it. The amenities are from Neutrogena which is a nice brand, we just loved them.

The highlight is the revolving bar on the top floor. There you get a fantastic 360° view of Washington DC and the Pentagon. Food at the bar is affordable and the drink list is long enough. The only negative point: It's a smoking bar (VA obviously has no law to protect non-smokers). We didn't try the other dining options because we were just too busy sightseeing in DC.

Parking at the hotel is quite expensive, but there's ample parking on the street which is free from 8 p.m. - 8 a.m. and on weekends, so we ended up spending just $ 18. The hotel runs a free shuttle to the Fashion Center at the Pentagon, that's also where the Metro station is, if you want to ride the Metro to DC.

My wife and I also enjoyed this hotel. We parked the car when we arrived and didn't move it until we left to come home. However, this cost us $21/day. We rode the metro in to DC each day from the Fashion Center mall at Pentagon City. They have a shuttle that leaves every half hour. We also walked it several times and it takes about 10-12 minutes. We had a king bed that was very comfortable. We were in the north tower and had a great view of DC, with the Washington monument and the capitol. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants. We ate in the food court in the mall after riding the metro back. Checkin and checkout went smoothly, although they didn't have any of their trademark warm cookies when we arrived. We did however, get some later. All in all a great place to stay.
