3* Newark (Jersey City) Hyatt Regency on the Hudson, $120 .. 9/13/08-9/15/08 Options

I'm new to this board & can't believe I've just found this site. I've been using Hotwire & Priceline for years with much success. These forums are great for helping get the best deal possible & for easing fears about the hotels on each site.

This is an expensive weekend in NYC. There was a 3* in Jersey City on Hotwire for $163 for these 2 nights. I first bid $100 on Priceline, then $110 until I finally bid $120 that was accepted. I also had the option to extend the stay but chose not to. I booked this same hotel on Hotwire back in December 2007 for $88. It was great so I was really glad to get it again.

Also, I called immediately to Hyatt to request 2 double beds since we are travelling with kids and they already had us booked in a 2 double bed, non-smoking room.

Hope to post many more successful bids in the future.
