On my computer (WinXP; IE 7 and Firefox 2), it often takes several times/ tries to open the main HOTWIRE.com page; and then once the site is open, I cannot get the Hotwire 'car rental' results; it just sits there 'updating' (forever). PRICELINE is a little shaky 'getting started' but is now retrieving car rental info on this computer. I can get the Hotwire info on my wife's Vista computer. I have had trouble at various times browsing with this XP box but it was always rectified by rebooting; not this time. Right now, the problem seems to be restricted to HOTWIRE.

i have the same problem on my computer. here is a way to work around it: while the HOTWIRE site is "browsing," click on your "x" to stop the browser. then click on "tools," "pop-up blocker," and then do the opposite of how your computer is currently set. so, if your existing browser setting is to block pop-ups, then allow pop-ups. then hit the back button on your browser. you computer will either give you the results of your search or it will give you the option to hit the "continue" button. if so, hit the continue button and then your results will come up. the next time you do any HOTWIRE searches, you will need to reverse the pop-up command from your tool bar again.
