So i'm looking to take a trip to some places outside of the NYC metro area. trying HOTWIRE or PRICELINE, i'm not sure if any of them are pet friendly. i have found another site to find this info but i'm not sure how this would work if i bid, win and get reservations but nowhere does it say pets.

maybe in some reviews, if applicable, write in some sort of pet friendly place and if they charge and extra fee. i know the Rogue hotel in DC is extremely pet friendly and i don't think they charge extra (more of a dog lover's place to stay but my gf and i walked our cat and people were rather amused how he's more of a dog then cat).

just helpin' those with pets, such as i, find a good place with a good price.

thanks!!

btw, great board!

Welcome to the board.

When traveling with a pet you need to contact the hotel direct (as in pick up the phone). A lot of Hotels do not allow pets or they have big fees, I have seen $250 per stay. Quite often this information is not on the web sites.

If you need to take a pet on a trip it is best to book thru a non-opaque (ie- not PRICELINE or HOTWIRE) as you can't guarantee receiving a hotel which allows pets.

If you'd like to take your pet, but it's not a necessity, and you're willing to take a little risk, you can try to search HOTWIRE and see if you can ID any of the hotels offered (by matching the star ratings and amenities). If so, you can then research the properties you believe are being offered to see if they are pet-friendly. Of course, there is some risk involved in this approach since you have to guess correctly on the hotels offered.

Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
