I am not sure this is the right place for this, but here goes.
On 2/19/08 I bit on a 4* hotel in Philly on Priceline. My bid was for 79.00 in the center city. My bid was accepted at the Hyatt at Penns Landing for a one night stay on 02/22/08. On 02/22/08 there was a snow storm and I was unable to make the trip. I called the Hyatt to see if there was something to be done. I was told I had to contact Priceline. I called Priceline and they said they would contact the Hyatt for me. They came back on the phone in less than 5 minutes and said they arranged with Hyatt to give me a full refund.
Just wanted to let you know it could happen.

You're lucky, because its very rare to get a refund, because of weather.

JS,
Yes, I know I'm lucky. But I received an email from Priceline confirming my refund for all charges including pricelines fee. This is the first time I ever tried to get a refund from priceline or hotwire. Is it that rare, in view of the extenuating circumstances, to either receive a credit or change the reservation. I assumed the "no refund no cancellation" policy did not inclued emergencies. After all if the hotel burnt down I would expect a refund!!!
Thanks for your reply.
