Can you search a forum by date?

Hi, the answer may be obvious, but not to me. :)

For example, if I want to search NY Priceline forum for all topics that involve September, couldn't I just search using 9/*/** ?

No combination I've tried works, so I appeal to better minds! Thanks for such a great forum.
