This Hotel is great. Very 4*! Outside waiting area for a very efficient Valet parking (May 2007 - $30). Lobby was very spacious with seating. Concierge very helpful, could have used a bit of cheer, but otherwise helpful!

Check-in was good. Our first room smelled of smoke even though they said it was a no smoking room. They upgraded us to a suite...wow! The original room looked like it was going to be great, but the suite was fabulous. Sofa, chairs, desk TV, honor Bar in "living room". Had to ask for Coffee maker. Huge bathroom with separate shower and tub. Sink was outside the bathroom. Great bathrobes! Great king bed with tons of pillows. Balcony with chairs and some views. Pool was small but just what we needed. hot Tub. Great lounge chairs with cushions and pillows and plush towels. Overall a great stay.

The hotel is located in more of a business district. There is a Ralph's food store around the corner on Olympic. The Westfield Mall, with a great food court, is nearby on Santa Monica Blvd. St. Timothy's Catholic Church within walking distance on Pico!!

Strange, I could almost write the above review word for word. Our first room also reeked of smoke, cigar, though i don't know if it was meant to be smoking or non. When the bell delivered our bags he agreed it was a most unpleasant smell, rang the desk from the room on our behalf and within 2 minutes we were also walking into a suite with separate area with a desk, internet cabling, coffee maker etc.

The hotel was very nice, although a bit far from a lot of the action. That said, LA is so spread out it would be near impossible to be near more than one or 2 attractions and if you want to see more than that, be prepared for long taxi trips.

Staff were more than helpful. On our final day we were not due to fly back to Australia until 11:45pm. They arranged late checkout (3pm) for both of our rooms (though we ended up checking out at noon), allowed us to store our luggage (11 bags!!!) whilst we travelled out for the day and allowed us to use the steamroom/sauna changerooms to have a shower and freshen up prior to our trip to the airport in the evening. All this extra helpful service for Priceline customers without a hint of discrimination whatsoever.

Thoroughly recommend.
