The Holiday Inn - Lido Beach hotel in Sarasota FL doesn't cater to business or luxury travelers, but it is perfect for families with children. The hotel is right across from the beach, every room has a reasonably large terrace with 2 plastic chairs, and the hotel provides beach towels (serviceable but not fancy) and beach chairs. The rooms with two beds have 2 queen sized beds. The staff are very helpful, and there is free internet throughout the hotel. The negatives are 1) the showers have little water pressure, 2) the blankets are the thinnest duvets imaginable, and 3) the rugs are dirty (but what can you expect for a hotel across from a beach). All in all, a solid 3* for a family
