Have you ever received the notice of "Check your Offer Status"?

I had not seen this before. Just got it now while bidding on priceline. PL tells me they "are working on my request and should have an answer for me within 15 minutes" ... has this ever happened to you? what was the result?

This is not an inidcation of your bid being accepted or not.

This is the 'old' system.. it used to be standard protocal before priceline switched to an 'instant' notification system. However, sometimes now the 'new' system reverts back to the old system (i suspect due to some sort of error in their backend or checking your request) and you have to check back in 15 minutes.

Thanks for the info. My bid ended up being rejected after all ... (I'm still working on some kind of accommodation for August 23, as per the PRICLEINE NYC posts).
