This hotel is a nice place and could stand to be upgraded from 2.5 to 3 stars by Priceline. It seems to be a newer hotel that primarily services people who have to overnight at Newark International Airport. While the location is a little out of the way to find if you have a car, the hotel itself is nice, clean, and well attended for by the staff. The beds were comfortable, and the free high speed internet access was a bonus.

We originally wound up booking this place as as a bit of a bidding error, but thereuare was able to provide us with ways to make this work, since we were visiting New York City, and only wanted to stay in Jersey City. His suggestions made this place work for us, and we also discovered some ways to make this a viable choice if you wanted to visit NYC. The original suggestion was to take the PATH from NYC to Newark Penn Station, then take a cab to the hotel. That option will cost you $20-25 one way. However, there is also the option of taking a NJ Transit bus from the Jersey Gardens outlet mall across the road from the hotel. In normal traffic, that trip will take about 30 minutes to get to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC for $4.75.

I would not suggest going too far from the hotel unless you have a car and know where you are going. Several streets in Elizabeth have no street signs, so if you relying on instructions generated by Mapquest, etc., you may be driving in circles.
