zbenye
In the past, most hotels in the city of South San Francisco charged me additional taxes not collected by Priceline or Hotwire, totaling about $3.50 per night.I was surprised last week when no charges were imposed upon checking out of the La Quinta.I was again surprised today when no charges were imposed upon checking out of Courtyard by Marriott.I wonder if a high volume of customer complaints forced Priceline and Hotwire to include these taxes in the bidding process. If so, maybe resort fees in other areas like Palm Springs will also go away and make the game more fair. Link to comment
thereuare
Are you sure that the city is still collecting this tax? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
zbenye
Haven't checked with the city, but La Quinta's website, as well as Hilton Garden Inn's, show these local taxes in their rate rules, separated from the standard hotel tax:La Quinta: $3HGI: $2.50 + $.45 Link to comment
