Hi!

First of all, thank you all for all that you doing to help with the bidding - really appreciated!

I'm coming with 3 kids (4 people) to San Francisco for 4 nights - 9/24/2017-9/28/2017, so would like to find a room with 2 queen beds.

We'd like to stay in an area which has good public transportation, safe for evening walks, with cafes and restaurants open during the evening.

What would you recommend?

I'm looking for nice hotel with 2 queen beds, < $270 total per night including taxes and fees (currently pre-booked hotel Zephyr on Fishermen's wharf for $271 - not sure if this is good or not).

What would you recommend for us?

Is there anything good for cheaper price?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Ira.

Please provide a follow-up for your prior New York City Priceline thread (post what you decided for that stay within that thread, then reply to this thread.)

For this stay, bidding only guarantees 1 bed. A better option would be searching on HOTWIRE for two adults/two children (which would lead to 2 beds, 1 + rollaway or 1 + sofabed). Additionally, some HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS listings do offer bed choice, although two queens may not be one of the options.

When searching for 1a/3c on HOTWIRE, I'm seeing:

3.5* Union Square East for $220.00
Complimentary Breakfast
Free Internet
Pet Friendly
Boutique
Smoke Free
Restaurant
Business
Hi-Speed Internet
Room Accessible
==>  A guess would be the Hotel Abri.

4* Fisherman's Wharf for $249.00
Free Internet
Pet Friendly
Boutique
Near Beach
Smoke Free
Restaurant
Business
Hi-Speed Internet
Blind Accessible
Deaf Accessible
Travel Accessible
Room Accessible
Bathroom Accessible
Handicapped Parking
Roll-in Shower
==>  A guess would be the Hotel Zoe

4* Union Square East for $205.00
Free Internet
Pet Friendly
Boutique
Smoke Free
Fitness
Restaurant
Business
Hi-Speed Internet
Golf
Spa
Childrens Activities
Blind Accessible
Deaf Accessible
Travel Accessible
Room Accessible
Bathroom Accessible
Handicapped Parking
Roll-in Shower
==>  The Sir Francis Drake has been seen with this amenity set previously, so that would be my guess.

Would either of these possibilities be of interest? If not, please let us know why/more about what you are looking for and we can research and offer other suggestions.

Thanks a lot! I posted my reply for NYC hotel (I posted already before, but don't see my post for some reason :-()

Do you think Union Square east is a good choice for woman with kids? (my husband is on convention and is not joining us) - I want to make sure that it's safe and pleasant at evening and nice to walk in.

What about 3.5* in fishermen's wharf for $204? What can it be?

Do you know if those hotels are good and have good location?

Do you have an idea of what type of things you intend to do with the kids when you're in the city?

3.5* for $204 in fishermen's wharf:

Free Internet, Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Near beach, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Business center, Accessible for visually impaired

I didn't do the exploration of what the city has to offer in fullest, but I think - fishermen's wharf, Alcatraz, china & Japan town (the kids are teenagers 12, 13, 13 years old).

The most important part that we'll need to go to eat in the evening and I want to be safe and also to be able to get to the attractions of the city easily with public transport or walking..

==>  Unfortunately, not certain - a guess would be the Hotel Zephyr but it may be something else. Still, a very good rate (especially for San Fran) for a well-reviewed (4/5 tripadvisor rating) in a very nice area.

Thanks! I think I'll go for it. Will update, of course.

Do you think this is the best area for us?

While not certain of the identity of the 3.5*, that is certainly a good rate for Fisherman's Wharf in the Fall and FW would be a good home base to see the city from. You can also use the HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS promotions in my signature. Additionally, while it may be something beside the Zephyr, the listing is showing a 2 double bed option for the same price and a 4/5 tripadvisor rating.
