thereuare
For the HOTWIRE offers I believe there are likely more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. (always use this method for your searches/purchases to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set and for an easy comparison of PRICELINE vs. HOTWIRE, as well as to use our new IS THIS A GOOD PRICE feature). If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to each of these listings, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment

Matchstik
Thank you, I read on tripadvisor review someone had a bad experience having The Avalon honour a Priceline rate / booking, i'll steer clear of priceline bidding then. One UN looks ok, was more focussed on Midtown East / Times Square / Grand Central area and will continue looking. Thanks for your feedback. Link to comment

If you start to see a trend of reports of the same incident reoccurring time and time again then it's a warning sign, but a single (or even two) report of an issue is not something that should influence your decision, imo. Sometimes hotels do overbook (or a room is unexpectedly taken out service due to an emergency like a pipe breaks and is flooded) and the hotel can't accommodate the reservation, although this can happen at almost any hotel regardless of how the room is booked (although when it does happen standard practice is that you're given a room at a nearby hotel of the same quality, provided transportation there, and the nite is free) I'm very familiar with NYC, if you let us know exactly what you're looking for in a hotel for this trip (most are not seriously considering 3* hotels and 5* hotels for the same stay), and your maximum budget (per nite before taxes/fees) we will try to help you find something that meets your criteria... i don't typically recommend the One UN for the typical tourist as it's a bit too far east for convenience. thereuare
The PRICELINE EXPRESS deal guessed to be the Kimpton Muse would be the best property of those above, imo, followed by the Hotel 48LEX... although the Muse would be more centrally located.
