Hello, so I'm planning a trip for October 21-25 2017.  Dates could change, but those dates are about 90% confirmed.  I really really want the Wynn, quiet honestly the only reason we want to go back to Vegas this time(3rd time in a year) is because we want to stay at the Wynn.  I have been looking into Priceline Express Deal and this is what they are offering for Northeast....

$187.00

Free Parking

Business Center

Casino

Fitness Center

Non Smoking

Restaurant

Swimming Pool

If this is the Wynn, it's about 200.00-300.00 less then what the Wynn Website is charging for those dates....

It wouldn't be the end of the world if it was Palazzo or Venetian, but besides those two I wouldn't want anything else.  Also, I'm new to all this, I need to book 2 rooms, one with double queen and one with one king, would I call hotel after I book to make those request?

If you you think it easier to get the Wynn through Hotwire, let me know, I'm open to anything!

Thank you a ton!

-Steven

For the following PRICELINE EXPRESS property (confirm your dates on the landing page of the provided link):

5* The Strip - Northeast for $187
Free Parking
Business Center
Restaurant
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Casino
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
==> best guess would be the Encore At Wynn Las Vegas (not sure if this qualifies as "the Wynn" for your needs or not)

Unless the hotel is showing a 'Bed Choice' option and one of those options is the room configuration you are seeking, there is no way to guarantee the bed type you want.  You can call the hotel after your purchase and make any requests you'd like, but a lot of factors go into whether the hotel will be able to accommodate your request or not... occupancy levels, what is available at the time of check-in, hotel policy, mood of the front desk clerk, etc, etc.

When will your dates for this trip be firm?

Thank you so much for the quick response!

The Encore would actually be great too!  They are pretty equal in my mind!

I noticed it does say "bed choice available."  What does that mean exactly, it doesn't give you an option to pick your bed choice when you get to the reservation page......

We will have exact dates in the next week or two.  Waiting on airline prices.

Thank you again!

Sometimes PRICELINE EXPRESS erroneously shows that there is a Bed Choice offered when in reality no choice is provided (and sometimes there is a bed choice given even though not shown on the hotel results page).

The following offer is NOT in the Northeast zone (it's actually in the Southwest zone) but by clicking the following link you can see an example of a hotel where a Bed Choice is given: NOT your zone but example of Bed Choice

However, hotel offers can come and go quickly (or the prices change) so we'll keep this thread more general in nature until your dates firm up and you're ready to purchase a hotel should any of the one(s) you are looking for appear for your dates.

Thank you for the example of a bed choice! That was great to see how that option works.

We can keep this neutral until I figure out exact dates.

If bed choice isn't available, am I taking a risk by assuming I will be able to get 2 queens for one of the rooms?  Do people have trouble with that request from what you have knowledge of?  Cause we have to have 2 beds in one of them.

Thanks!

Assuming 2 queens is definitely a risk - the hotel may upcharge an additional fee for 2 beds, but could also say no. Some cities are less risky than others (Orlando, for example) when it comes to two beds, but with Vegas there certainly is some risk. HOTWIRE is another option, where you can indicate more than 2 people in the room (2 adults/2 children) even if there is only 2 people in order to get more than 1 bed (that can be 2 beds, 1 + rollaway, 1 + sofa.)

If no bed choice is shown then, yes, it can be an issue at some locations as per all of the reasons outlined above in my previous post.

Also, in Vegas most of the higher end hotels on the strip are now charging more for rooms with 2 beds in them (vs. one King) so i would expect there to be an additional charge to 'upgrade' to a 2 bedded room if it is not offered at the time of booking and the hotel is willing to upgrade you... you may get the room type you want just by asking (or possibly not at all if the hotel is unable, or unwilling, to give you the room configurations you're requesting), but i would at least be prepared to be asked to pay since most hotels now charge more for these rooms types.

It goes without saying (but i'll say it anyway) that the busier your dates are the more difficult it may be to get your room configuration request fulfilled... go during a typically slow Sun-Thur (and/or in the summer) then it will be easier as there are more vacant rooms; whereas go SuperBowl weekend (or any Friday/Saturday nite or during a large convention) and it will be more difficult.
