PRICELINE said $143 was average for 3-star. My winning bid: Standard double with private bathroom & free wifi, total with tax for 2 nights was $199 ($79/nt bid). I could have booked same hotel on PL for $211 for two nights ($88/nt). Booking direct with hotel would have been $274 total.  PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for 3-star was offered at $96. The review score is not particularly good for this hotel, which is disappointing.

In the future if you're concerned about review ratings for the hotel you will receive you may want to use PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE where you can see some ratings for the hotel and try to stick to those that have the highest reviews (as well as, with our help, be able to take a guess as to which hotel(s) it is that you may be most likely to receive)
