Ola Dunk
Just started looking for a nice hotel ending our 3-week national park roadtrip further north. Would like some nice relaxing for the last 3 days and hope to find something nice in the center if the strip. The reason for my search is that I stayed at ARIA 5 years ago and liked the hotel and area. We're a family of four including two young adults (19 & 23 yo). Can have 2 queens or (of course) separate bedrooms if possible. All mentioned below are 5* Center Strip - Fountains SEARCH: Las Vegas 07/20/2017 - 07/23/2017 1 Room - 4 adults I used BiddingHelper.com HOTWIRE EASY VIEW to find full amenities. Please help me ID these. I'm open to other suggestions if someone knows about other very good deals that can fit. But for now I've started with these: 5* $297 5-star Resort in Center Strip - Fountains area Thu, Jul 20 - Sun, Jul 23 1 Room, 4 Adults 90% recommended Favorite! thereuare
Are you including 4adults in your search? Are 2 Queen beds a requirement (and if so do any of the properties above show a 2 Queen bed option, which at 5* hotels in Las Vegas usually cost more than a 'standard' 1 King bed room) or if the second 'bed' is a pullout sofabed or rollaway brought into the room would that be acceptable as well? What is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes)? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. I used this search: Las Vegas 07/20/2017 - 07/23/2017 1 Room - 4 adults Quote Are 2 Queen beds a requirement (and if so do any of the properties above show a 2 Queen bed option, which at 5* hotels in Las Vegas usually cost more than a 'standard' 1 King bed room) or if the second 'bed' is a pullout sofabed or rollaway brought into the room would that be acceptable as well? 2 queen beds are not a requirement. But I don't want the hotel to give me 1 king bed and tell me that I can squeeze 4 adults in 1 King. Reason I say this was that when I booked ARIA through Hotwire in 2012 I got 1 King for 3 people even if booking was for 3. I had to go back down at reception and pay for a rollerbed extra. Hopefully Hotwire has more control of this now. Sofabed or rollaway are acceptable as long as the room can sleep 4 adults without squeezing people together in 1 or 2 small beds. I see some offers have "bed choice" which probably is a good option. All 4 search results mentioned above says "Bed choice available". Quote What is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes)? Tricky one. This is the end of a long roadtrip with significant cost. I was hoping to use less money here and get good value for money (not necessarily 5 stars). I would say those 2 out of 4 above with price in and around $300 is really pushing it. I can't rule therm out though. thereuare
Best guess/comments for each: 5* Center Strip - Fountains for $297.00 Free Internet Resort Casino Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> matches previous reports for the Aira and would be my best guess for this one 5* Center Strip - Fountains for $168.00 Free Parking Free Internet Suite Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Kitchenette ==> JetLuxury at the Vdara 5* Center Strip - Fountains for $324.00 Free Internet Condo Pet Friendly Suite Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Kitchenette Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> Vdara 5* Center Strip - Fountains for $239.00 Boutique Casino Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa ==> Nobu Hotel Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Ola Dunk
Thanks for your help. Is it possible to know if the Vdara option is the the one with separate bedroom or the studio where pullout sofa and kingsize is in same room. It says "suite" but I'm not sure what to read into that? Any other recommendations for other hotels I can try with either less than 5* or other areas than the fountains? Link to comment
thereuare
Unless a specific room type is offered/chosen all PRICELINE and HOTWIRE purchases are for 'standard' rooms, so i would assume it's the studio suite and not a 1BR suite with a wall/door separating the two areas. It's not in the Fountains zone but the Venetian / Palazzo are two of my favorites in Las Vegas. Confirm your dates on the landing page of the following link: 5* The Strip - Northeast for $227 Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> my best guess for this offer would be The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino (outside chance of the Venetian). Although technically all PRICELINE reservations are for double occupancy, the link above offers a Bed Choice where you can choose a 2 Queen room for $260/nite (and even less using the discount in my signature)... so a slight risk although i don't know of anyone who has yet had an issue booking a room with 2 beds and showing up with 4 people (although you can also simply not have everyone go to the check-in desk upon arrival if you wanted to reduce the chance of any issues even further) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Ola Dunk
Hi and thanks for your reply. This offer at Palazzo is certainly good. I just need to consider this thing about the risk of 2 vs 4 people though even if I would book the 2 queen room. Haven't used PRICELINE before (HOTWIRE on many occasions though) so I guess that is something I should look into. Link to comment
thereuare
Most (if not all) of the higher end hotels in Las Vegas now charge more for rooms with 2 Queen beds (vs. 1 King) and/or more than double occupancy, so if you're not willing to accept the risk above you should expect to pay at least $25+ more per nite. I'm fairly conservative and personally it would be a risk i'd be willing to accept since i know the rooms are large, will have 2 Queen beds, and it would be easy enough to have 2 of the 4 guests 'exploring' some other part of the hotel and not everyone going to the front desk at check-in... but of course you have to work within your own comfort levels (and those who you're traveling with) Also keep in mind that the offers (or the Bed Choice option) could disappear at any time, so if you are interested in this option, you would want to make your decision sooner rather than later.
