LivinLifeNYC
Hi all, I just stumbled upon this site as I was researching ways to get affordable hotel nights in Las Vegas. It will be my first time there - I'm looking for 2 nights in a room with 2 double beds (3 adults total). We would really like to stay in the Wynn or Encore if we can find a rate less than $200. We see around $250/night right now on various hotel pricing sites. As a backup option, we would not mind staying at the Trump but are looking for the rate to be around $100/night. I've never used Hotwire or Priceline before. Is this achievable? Thanks Link to comment

As well, all PRICELINE reservations are for double occupancy, although some PRICELINE EXPRESS offers will show a 'Bed Choice', where you can choose the room type/bed configuration from the options given. Although your reservation is technically for double occupancy, i don't know of anyone that has had an issue showing up with 3/4 guest when the room type would accommodate it without having extra beds/rollaways brought into the room (this would be a risk i would be willing to take, although i would also 'play it smart' and only have one/two people go to the check-in desk while the other 1/2 go explore someplace else in the hotel / lobby) HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy, and ensures sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search, but the 2nd 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed and/or rollaway brought into the room. Unfortunately at the moment i'm not seeing any HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS offers that show a bed choice option with 2 beds in the room, but i am seeing: On HOTWIRE searching for 3adults: 5* North Strip - Fashion Show Mall for $220.00 Free Parking Resort Suite Casino Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> my guess for this one would be the Encore, although the Wynn would still be a possibility and can't be ruled out (about $20 over your desired budget, but 'declares' 3 adults in the room and sleeping accommodations for all of you) On PRICELINE EXPRESS i'm seeing the following 5* Strip North for $197/nite with: Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Wynn Las Vegas would be my guess for this one (but only for double occupancy and no 'bed choice' is offered) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. LivinLifeNYC
Thanks for the quick response! I'm considering the Priceline option since it is within the price range. However, it comes out to around $550 for two nights after all the fees are added. Would be able to confirm if there are also options that you think might be the Trump? With all the additional fees, we might be in a better position with Trump. Yes, I'm a bit nervous about the double occupancy thing - particularly if we book and get a King size bed when we need two doubles. It seems like the standard rates for 1 King is normally lower than that of 2 doubles. Link to comment
