nasu
Help needed for bidding. 3 1/2 stars, Rockville/Gaithersburg MD, 9/26 - 9/30. Bid $55 ad turned down. Does requesting more than 2 nights cause harder time getting the bids accepted? Link to comment
nasu
Per the suggestion here I added another area (Germantown) without the 3 1/2 starts along with Rockville/Gaithersburg and upped my bid to $60 but still rejected. Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. Multiple nights would not cause greater difficulty in getting something accepted in most areas unless one part of the period was a lot busier/more expensive than the other. What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? thereuare
nasu, I assume you're bidding both the Gaithersburg and Rockville zones? In these areas i'm currently seeing regular rates for 3.5* hotels start at $140+/nite, making your $60 bid is well under half of prevailing rates and has a very low chance of acceptance. You'll likely need to be in the $80-$90 range range (more likely near the top end of this range) to be successful, imo. Let us know your maximum bid for a 3.5* hotel in one of these two zones and we will suggest a bidding strategy for you to follow. Lastly, i will add that i'm seeing this 3* Gaithersburg hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $75/nite with: Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this one would be the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg if this works for your needs Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
