NYC - July 22-25 (3 nights)

- Close to Penn (and preferably Grand Central too) or easy transport (e.g. Union Square area)

- Less than $200 per night, not including taxes and fees

- The higher star the better --- most interested in CLEAN hotels

- Please provide best guesses for Hotwire and Priceline Express

Thanks!

Welcome to Betterbidding.

Staying under $200 and getting something nice should be pretty easy for these dates, thankfully. Will start to do some research and then post in this thread in a little while.

Research does take a little bit of time; are you looking for anything else (to try and focus the search) aside from near Penn and/or GC?)

Thanks!

Prefer close to restaurants and people.

Easy access to subway and safe area

Was in the financial district before and found it too quiet at night and a bit far from attractions.

Hope that helps

Thanks for taking time out of your work day to research on my behalf.

It is relatively time sensitive but not an emergency.

PRICELINE EXPRESS (when you click on the links below, please *make sure* that the correct dates of travel are showing on the landing page after clicking the link.)

4.5* MTE $155 (Pets, Fitness, Business, Restaurant)

==>> Possible match for Intercontinental Barclay.

4.5* MSG-Convention (Pets Allowed, Free Internet, Business Center, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities) ($136)

==>> Possible match for the Even Hotel

Would either of these properties be of interest? The Barclay was recently renovated and the potential Even would be a great deal for $136. If that listing is the Even, that is one of the top 10 rated hotels in NYC on Tripadvisor and the total would be $509, almost $100 less than max budget. Both listings are showing 9+ customer ratings.

Please let us know your thoughts and if you have any additional questions.

I will add that you're right down the block from one of the better bagel shops in the city:

Best Bagel and Coffee

225 W 35th St (on 35th between Seventh and Eight Ave)

It's a small place but they make a great bagel.  If you can't get one of the few tables there or on a stool at the counter by the window, take your bagels to Times Square and sit on the bleachers behind the TKTS booth while you watch the world go by... no better way to start the day and with a view you can't get anywhere else in the world!

Have a great trip and enjoy your time at this new property.
