Jul
Hi, I'm looking to book a 3* hotel in Times Square for just one night (Sept 1st). I see there's a PRICELINE EXPRESS Priceline deal for $135 (total cost of $177 after taxes/fees). It seems to me that it's probably Comfort Inn Times Square South. Or also possibly Holiday Inn Express NYC Times Square. Right? But I'm wondering if I can save some money by bidding in a 3* instead. How much do you think would be a realistic amount to bid on a 3* in Times Square and which hotels am I most likely to get that way? These same two hotels maybe? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! For the future please also include in your post the amenities that PRICELINE EXPRESS associates with the property as this will be used to help research the offer, as well as confirm we're looking at the same property. I'm currently seeing this 3* Times Square hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) with: Free Internet Free Breakfast No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> if this is what you're seeing, best guess for this one would be the Comfort Inn Times Square South Area If you decide to bid for this trip you have to be willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose... there is no way to target (or avoid) a specific hotel when bidding. It may or may not be the same hotel that is currently offered thru PRICELINE EXPRESS. So the question is how well does the hotel guessed above work for your plans this trip vs. how much would you need to save from the $135/nite rate to make receiving a different hotel worthwhile? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. If you take the offer above let us know how it goes...if you'd like to pursue bidding on PRICELINE let us know your maximum bid and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow (also, is this the only zone that is acceptable for this stay?? please include any other zones that would be acceptable even if you think it would be unreasonable to win a 3* or better hotel within your maximum bid price) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
