Priceline Hotel: Looking for hotel in tourist area

Hi,

I'm going to NYC with a couple people in June -- check-in on the 24th and check-out on the 26th. We are looking for 2 rooms (1 bed each) in a happening area, near the Rockefeller Center maybe? Near walking distance to touristy areas.

Our budget is $1000 total for the two nights for both rooms, and we're just looking to find the best hotel possible for $1000.

We've stayed at many places before that we enjoyed, including the New York Palace, but that's gone up in price and doesn't fit our budget this time. Never used Hotwire or Priceline before but those are looking like the best options, just wanted some advice.

Thanks so much!!!

Rates are a little high for these dates, but there are some options for under $1000 total.

To see the full list of amenities,, go to BiddingHelper.com, search for your dates and click "Hotwire Easy View",, then "Full Amenities".

4* Midtown East $191 Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower

-- Likely the Lexington

4* Rockefeller $183 Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly

-- Doubletree Met

4.5* Grand Central $204. Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access

-- Not yet ID'd/reported, but a 4.5* w/ a 4.5/5 tripadvisor rating on the detail page, so reviews are excellent. A guess is that this may be the Sofitel, downgraded from 5* since it was last reported.

PRICELINE EXPRESS

4.5* Rockefeller Center/Bryant Park $208. Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Free Internet, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

-- Not yet ID'd/reported, but my guess would be the Sofitel. $27 over your desired total, but for an extremely nice hotel.

4.5* Midtown East $199 Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Free Internet, Business Center, Fitness Center, No Smoking Rooms/Facilities

-- Likely Hyatt 48 Lex. This would be slightly under budget, but there is a $160 resort fee added.
