travelbug002
Hi, I'm not sure if this is too last minute but I'm looking for a 4.5* or 5* hotel in Maui (any zone) for March 8th - 12th, 2016 (4 nights). The max I'm willing to spend is $350 USD/night (not sure if that's realistic), or $400 USD/night including all fees and taxes. The only reason I don't want to lower it to 4* is because the 4* hotels vary quite a bit in quality. For example, I'd like to stay at the Westin or the Hyatt (for a max of $250 USD) but I don't want the Makena Beach & Golf Resort or the Marriott's Maui Ocean Club. Let me know if you need any more information. Thanks in advance! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! I see this 4.5* Wailea - Makena hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $321/nite (within your budget), has an excellent 9+ user review rating by previous guests, and the following amenities: Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center ... best guess for this property would be the Andaz Maui Resort. Do you want to take this offer 'knowing' that you're getting a quality hotel (even if it's something other than the Andaz the user review rating indicates it's a hotel of very high quality)... or do you want to try bidding on PRICELINE for any 4.5* or higher anywhere within Maui? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. travelbug002
Hi, Thanks for your quick reply! I'm worried that the 4.5 Wailea - Makena hotel might be the Makena Beach & Golf Resort, which has high ratings but the rooms are dated. The Makena Beach & Golf Resort is listed as a 4* hotel on Priceline's website but it shows up as 4.5* on other travel websites. Do you know what other 4.5* Maui hotels that have been on Priceline are? Andaz Maui Resort looks great but I'd like to see what other hotels I might end up with. These are the ones that I see from their website (which are all pretty amazing): - The Fairmont Kea Lani - The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua - Wailea Beach Villas - Andaz Maui Resort - Hotel Wailea - Grand Wailea - Ho-Olei At Grand Wailea Thanks! travelbug002
I've decided to go with the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal - and it was the Andaz like you said it would be! THANK YOU so, so much for your help! I'd like to add another night (on Mar. 14th) at the same rate - Do you know how I can do that? Link to comment
AaronJB
Congrats on your success. First-rate win for this property! Hope you are looking forward to your stay. Unfortunately, you can't add a night using the "Extend Your Stay" feature if the stay isn't next to your stay period (for example, if you were there the 8th-12th, the 13th.) Please start a new thread for the 14th night and we would be happy to help. Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
