In the end I went for the first option ($130/night) and it ended up being The Godfrey (as I had hoped after doing my research on the lists etc).

Excellent deal for a very, very nice hotel. Fantastic location, as well - easy walk to tons of restaurants nearby in the River North area. My only note would be to call ahead and request a higher floor.
