Both of these may contribute to high demand (and therefore likely high prices) at many hotels who, with high occupancy, may not be willing ti discount as much. I would use our sister site RefundableRates.com to book a back-up hotel (to protect yourself from rates rising further from here) and then continue to try PRICELINE / HOTWIRE in the weeks ahead. thereuare Posted December 12, 2015 Report Share Posted December 12, 2015 I wouldn't bid as high as $350 as PRICELINE EXPRESS has this 4.5* Wailea hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $338/nite with Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Pets Allowed, Free Internet, Business Center, Fitness Center. This offer also shows an excellent 9.0+ user review rating by previous PRICELINE guests... my guess for his one would be the Andaz Maui Resort - A Concept By Hyatt. So the question is if you would prefer to just take this offer knowing that the hotel has excellent reviews... or do you want to bid on PRICELINE in hopes for a better price, but you may receive a different property that is not as well reviewed? If proceeding with bidding, how high do you bid until you get close enough to the $338/nite rate that it becomes worthwhile to take the 'known' good review hotel?
