zoeonly
Hi there,Looking to travel to NYC 2/13-2/18 (though flexibility in dates by a day or two, if it makes a difference in hotel and flights). Looking for Times Square/Theatre district. Searched using BB links Hotwire Easy View and found the following:Times square north 3.5* $108 Internet access, Fitness center and more...FULL AMENITIES: Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in showerCould this be the Row NYC? Booked it through here in July 2014 and was very happy with room, service and proximity to Broadway and Hell's Kitchen. If not, what do you think?Another possibility was a Priceline Express Times square theatre $109 4* no amenities listed but said bed choice avail. One final one in a slightly different area. might be worth a longer walk if it's a great hotel. Spotted when I clicked the wrong area in Hotwire Easy View.Rockefeller Center 4.5* $128Amenities Include: Internet access, Fitness center, Business center and more...FULL AMENITIES: Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in showerAny help is much appreciated!! I'm also open to other thoughts in the same price range and area. First preference is proximity to Broadway and Hell's Kitchen (where we loved to eat) but I could be swayed to be a bit further away (10 min walk or so) by a great deal on a great hotel. Thanks again! thereuare
I'm not currently seeing the $108/nite HOTWIRE hotel so i can't verify, but based upon the amenities posted i think this may be the Hotel Manhattan at Times Square. However, it's not the Row NYC as that would be located in the Times Square North zone. My guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer without any amenities would be the Row NYC. For the Rock Center HOTWIRE offer the Warwick would be my best guess. zoeonly
Thanks so much. We are looking at different dates because kiddo has been cast in a show doing my original window. Should I post questions as a follow up in this thread or start a new one? Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your child's casting role. zoeonly
Hi again and thank you for the help so far.New dates: 3/17-3/22 (again could adjust by a day or two either way if that makes a difference in costs; didn't seem to using bidding helper)2 people: 1 adult, 1 child (13)Like Time Square South/Theatre DistrictAppreciate any help identifying hotels below or any other suggestions for a good deal!Hotwire Easy ViewTimes Square South$123/3.5*Amenities Include: Free Internet, Fitness center, Business center and more...FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, In-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in showerPriceline Express$114/3*Times Square - Theatre DistrictPets AllowedBusiness CenterFree InternetFitness Center Link to comment
thereuare
Best guess for each of these would be the Tryp Times Square (so obviously take the less expensive offer thru PRICELINE EXPRESS, which also gives you a bed choice option). zoeonly
Thank you for your ongoing help. Would this be the Tryp Times Square or Tryp Times Square South, do you think? In looking up this hotel, there appear to be two within a short distance of each other. Thanks again! Link to comment
thereuare
My guess for the one above is The Tryp Times Square at 234 West 48th Street... The other one, the Tryp Times Square South, is on 35th St and not in either the zones above. zoeonly
Thanks much! Not sure what we're going to do, but will report back. Not particularly good reviews on this property, but the price and location are great. Link to comment

zoeonly
Yes, I'm looking to book as soon as possible. Wasn't thrilled with the single option that I saw last time (the one that was potentially the Tryp), but am sure one of the 3 possibilities that I posted will fit our needs, as outlined below.Looking for times square south in the 3/17-3/22 time frame, 1 room for 1 adult and 1 13 year old, under $175 (but the $178 is close enough). Thanks again for your ongoing help! thereuare
Best guesses/comments for each: Hot.wire Times Square South $141/3.5* --> maybe the Belvedere downgraded to the 3.5* level since it was last reported to the board? Times Square South $169/4* Amenities Include: Internet access, Pet friendly, Fitness center, Business center and more... --> Paramount Hotel Times Square New York Times Square South $178/4* --> Millenium Broadway PRICELINE EXPRESS Times Square - Theatre District $133/3* --> same 3* description posted above, guess remains the Tryp Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. zoeonly
Hi again-- After yet another date change, we finally booked our trip. Despite the date change, all the details matched the first one on the list that you guessed as the Belvedere, downgraded to 3.5 stars. You were, in fact, absolutely correct!! Very happy with the win. Thank you for your patience and help. Really cannot say how much I appreciate all the time that you all spend. You helped us a year and a half ago to book an awesome stay for our first trip to Broadway and we're looking forward to an equally fabulous trip in March! Edited to add details - didn't realize they didn't display - 3/24-3/28 3.5* Times Square South - $147 = Belvedere Thanks again!! Link to comment
