lvsigchi
I'm planning a trip to Las Vegas May 2016. I want to know if going during the week will I have a greater chance of winning a lower bid? I know sometimes conventions eat up at the affordable inventory. Is there somewhere to check the Las Vegas convention schedule? Link to comment
Romelle
It is actually easier than hunting down a convention schedule and trying to deduce from that. The conventions come in various sizes and people book an extra day or so ahead or after. Plus there are weddings, bachelor parties, family reunions, etc.. The hotels already know the convention schedules and also already have various special bookings like family groups. If you look day by day at specific hotel web sites you can see the patterns. There are links to lots of Las Vegas hotels on the Support Page (in the header above). You also can look at Priceline Express or Hotwire the same way. You can find the lower rate dates with this research. There is also the Las Vegas Rate Checker in the Tool Box (in the header above again). Romelle Link to comment
thereuare
You can start by searching MAPS and HOTELS.com for your dates... filter to the star rating(s) that you are interested in and then zoom in on the map to the general area of the zone(s) you're thinking of bidding. Are rates low or high? Remember that there are events other than conventions that can easily drive up hotel rates... boxing matches, concerts/festivals, etc. What are the actual dates of your trip? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. lvsigchi
Thank you for the tools and tips. It looks like Sundays will offer the chances for a great rate. The publish rates are so low I'm tempted to book with the hotel of my top choice. With the low rates and throwing in the "$20 trick" I think I'll get a great value. Link to comment
