thereuare
If a hotel is not appearing in the EASY VIEW tab of the BiddingHelper.com but does appear in the 'regular' HOTWIRE tab, you will need to do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set: Search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesUsing the method above this is the full amenity set i'm seeing for this property: Free Internet Suite Indoor Pool Fitness Pool Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Golf Tennis Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, i unfortunately don't have any insight into this one, although the 4.5/5.0 TA rating is excellent and i wouldn't be too concerned about quality at all. For the 4* my guess would be the Hyatt Regency Savannah. I will add that i'm also seeing this Priceline Express hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) with Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center... i believe that this too is the Hyatt Regency and would be a little cheaper then the HOTWIRE offer above (for what i'm guessing to the be the same hotel) Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. cashby
Looks like the 3* has gone up so maybe I will wait a day or so. Link to comment
thereuare
Are you considering the 3* property given there is no insight as to which one it is? No interest in any of the other hotels guessed/identified? cashby
Possibly the 4*. Will see if the 3* on Hot.wire is $85 again tomorrow as that seems like it may be a better deal/hotel? Thanks for the continuous help! Link to comment
AaronJB
Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide. I'd keep an eye on alternatives, because there is no guarantee that the 3* will come back down (and it may go higher.) thereuare
... as that seems like it may be a better deal/hotel?Not necessarily as the TA rating is only one part of the picture as reviews are often based upon expectations... I would rather stay at a 4* hotel with average reviews then a budget property that has excellent reviews. While the budget property may be great for what it is, guests typically have lower expectations from the property (which in this case the hotel exceeded)... whereas at a higher rated hotels expectations may be higher and minor issues (which may not bother me much at all) can bring down a user review rating. For example, i would rather stay at a Ritz Carlton with mediocre reviews vs. an Extended Stay America with great reviews. ;) For less then $10/nite i would usually go with the higher star rated hotel (as long as the reviews for this one are still good, which in this instance, they are). thereuare
Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your results with the board... glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for. I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post, which would not have been seen unless you clicked the 'See all' link during the check-out process. Can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the full list of amenities associated with this property (including any accessible amenities)... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.
