overresearched
I tried to use BiddingHelper to search for hotels in Manhattan, NYC but it doesn't have a suggestion for it. It does for Brooklyn. What do I type? Link to comment

thereuare
Just in case anyone else is following along and/or having an issue, all of the following should be valid: Manhattan, NY NYC, NY New York, NY New York City, NY Also, even if a suggestion is not given in the drop down, you can still manually type a location and the system is designed to try to figure it out. For example, if you type 'times square nyc' there is no suggestion/dropdown menu created, but the system still 'knows' that you're looking at NYC and will result in a valid search. Romelle
For searches, there is also my personal favorite - the nearby airport 3-character code. In the case of New York City and some really large cities, you might first be taken to the specific airport outside of the city (and its surroundings), but then it is one more click to the actual city. The airport code works well for those of us who can't spell, or don't want to type long city names. Romelle Link to comment
overresearched
I used the biddinghelper tool to find a room 12/23 - 12/28 for 5* Times Square South and found: $299 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Internet access Any ideas? Link to comment
thereuare
The Premier Hotel New York is a possibility, but in reality it could be just about anything, as almost all 5* hotels in NYC would have the amenity set above. The Knickerbocker would be another possibility, but i believe it is this 5 star Priceline Express hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) with Pets Allowed, Restaurant, Fitness Center... and at $296/nite, would be a little cheaper then the HOTWIRE offer above. Do you need a 5* hotel for this trip and willing to pay $300/nite for it... as there are plenty of 4* and higher hotels that, if your plans are flexible, are likely acceptable and available for much less in the $100-$200 price range.
