probot
Hi guys, again asking for help, I'm looking for hotel for those dates and this one seems to be a good option: 3* Plainfield - New Providence - Kenilworth area -1 Room, 2 Adults Wed, Nov 25 - Mon, Nov 30 3*, 95% recommended, $70 per night Complimentary Free Internet Free breakfast Free parking Amenities Airport shuttle Business center Fitness center Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Link to comment
thereuare
I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Shuttle Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet ... if this is what you're seeing, the Kenilworth Inn would be my best guess for this one. AaronJB
Is this a replacement for your other current Plainfield Hotwire thread? If so, please close that thread by posting in that thread that you changed your mind on location - thanks. probot
No Aaron, I haven't changed my mind, is just another option in the New York area, both options appear on Hot.wire when I search New York. Link to comment
AaronJB
I'm not seeing a 3* in the Bronx when searching for these dates. Are you still seeing it when searching? thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. I'm very familiar with the NYC-area and you're not really looking at areas that are convenient for the average tourist/visitor. Is the purpose of this trip to tour NYC and you're looking for less expensive options then staying directly in Manhattan? Please let us know a little more what it is you need for this trip, and your maximum budget (per nite before taxes/fees), and we will advise accordingly. probot
It's my first time in NY and I'm just looking for an affordable place, I don't care if I have to travel a little bit to get to Manhattan, but I also understand that maybe what I save on the hotel fare I'll have to spend it on transportation, so I'm considering different options. Ideally, I don't want to spend more than $90/$100 a night. You move the other thread to New Jersey so I didn't wanted to post this hotel that is on the New York area there. I'm not very familiar with NY but I understand that the areas are not the best. In my case I really need a place that costs no more than $100, I could spend a little bit more if it's really convenient but beyond that it's not within my budget. Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
I'm seeing a 3* in the Long Island City zone w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Wheelchair Accessible for $90. This would be a possible match for the Hotel Vetiver. If there's any way you could go to $125, there's a 4* in the Financial District-Wall Street zone on HOTWIRE w/Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Wheelchair Accessible. This would be a possible match for the Doubletree Financial District. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. thereuare
I believe this is the 4* Downtown hotel (confirm your dates on the landing page) which is referenced above at $125/nite with Business and Fitness amenities.... my best guss for this one would be the Doubletree Hotel New York City- Financial District and would be an excellent choice given your tight budget... are you able to increase your budget for this one? Thank you guys! I think that the one at $125 it's a little bit over my budget, but I really like the other option at $90, if that's the Vetiver Hotel is better than the ones I've been seeing. If you see any other good option let me know and as soon as I purchase something I'll post it here. Thanks again! Link to comment
