First and foremost, hello.

I'll be traveling on a budget to Las Vegas em Dec. 4 to Dec. 10 and I really need some help trying to get a nice bid.

Here are the conditions I stabilished:

- We'll be a group of 3 (three) people willing to stay on the same room.
- We want to stay on the Strip near-ish the Center Strip.
- As I said, we're on a budget so I'm thinking something around $65~105 per night.

As a reference, those are the Hotels I was looking at Booking (w/o further fees):

Travelodge Center Strip - US$385,90 (6 nights)
Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino - U$602 (6 nights)
Excalibur -  US$450 (6 nights)

I have no clue where to start looking at Hotwire, all I saw is that you have a good chance to get Vdara if you pick Center Strip w/o Casino on a certain rating (altought I don't know at which price or rating).

So, Can anyone recommend me some biddings that can put me on a nice hotel that fill those requirements above?

Here are the ones I'm looking at:

Welcome to BetterBidding!

To get started... are you including 3adults in your search? (as doing so will likely show different offers and/or increase the rate as most Las Vegas hotels now charge more for rooms with two beds and/or for more then double occupancy)

Also, is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option? You're traveling to Vegas during a mostly slow time of year, but you may get a better overall deal if you're willing to stay at one hotel for 12/4-12/6 (the more expensive weekend nites) and at a different hotel for 12/6-12/10 (the less expensive mid-week nites)

Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.

Please confirm how many adults you included in your previous search and also if changing hotels mid-trip is something to consider and we'll take it from there.

Yes, I'm including 3 adults on all the searchs I've made so far.

About changing hotels... I didn't really consider it before. It depends on the economy I may make on the change, but yes, altought I prefer to don't have to worry about moving, if the diference in price is meanigful, I'm willing to take a dip

PS. All the searchs I made was at Hot.wire

3* $89

Best guess would be The Quad Resort and Casino

3.5* $71

Best guess would be Ballys

Hey folks,

Really appreciate all the help and tips on the site. This is my first time posting here and using Hot.wire so if I'm doing this wrong I do apologize, and if you can point it out I'll fix it next time.

I'm trying to get a hotel for this weekend, Saturday (9/5) through Tuesday (9/8) morning. Hot.wire is showing me a 4* Center Strip Area hotel with casino. Discounted from $192/night to $87/night. It's a 85% recommended hotel with a 4/5 on Tripadvisor.

This is really tempting since this is pretty cheap for a 4* hotel and the location seems pretty central. However, I'm not being able to figure out which hotel this is. It could be Bally's, Paris or Caesar's Palace but I just don't want to be taken for a ride here and put in a hotel that I didn't even anticipate.

Any pointers or help on identifying the hotel will be SO appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

The Quad is now re-named The LINQ and is within the boundaries of HOTWIRE's Center Strip Center.

If SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID you could do something like:

12/4-12/6

5* Jet Luxury at the Vdara (reviews are mixed for this privately owned rooms but you'll get a taste of the environment of a 5* hotel) for $100/nite

12/6-12/10

Something like Bally's for $52/nite... Planet Hollywood for $75/nite... Treasure Island (Strip North) for $73/nite.

... just as some options that are available when splitting.

I'm really out of my elements here and kind of overwhelmed with those options and what will be needed to split those bids.

I think it will be easier to just go with the simpler options with less 'risks'.

This one should be the "Bally's Las Vegas Hotel & Casino", right?

Hot.wire is down for me right now, but I guess I'll bite the bullet with this one and try the $20 trick when I get there.

No... my guess for the 3.5* above would be the Flamingo Las Vegas.

Yay. I got Flamingo as you thought.

I used the link on your post, but while I was inserting my informations the page reloaded. I hope it still counted as a redirected link.

The infos:

Rate per night  $65.00

Nights  6

Rooms ( 3 adults )

1 Subtotal  $390.00
Tax recovery charges + fees
$92.43
Hotwire total  $482.43
Estimated resort fee
Pay at hotel $168.00
Trip total $650.43

The Hotwire total will be debited from my CC and all I will have to pay at the hotel is the ~$168, right? Do you guys recommend I confirm the reservation or is it all set and I don't have to worry about that?

Congratulations on your success!

Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're pleased with the outcome.

Your correct in regards to the amount that has been charged to your card and the amount that you will need to be pay directly to the hotel. Your reservation should be all set, but if you're concerned you could call the hotel to confirm your reservation (and throw in some request such as a high floor, strip view, etc.)

Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase.

Enjoy your stay... and good luck in Vegas!
