Priceline Hotel: 4.5* Chicago (North Michigan Ave - River North) The James Chicago

I am looking for a hotel in the river north/water tower area for August 21-23. 2 adults and 2 kids and we prefer to stay on/very close to Michigan avenue. Intercontinental or Omni similar preferred. Any suggestions on how to find this in Hotwire with the given amenities?

Any idea what the 4 1/2 star mag mile-wt. boutique hotel with pool , indoor pool, fitness center, and self service laundry and restaurant is for 185.00? The Omni is sold out on their website so I am hesitant that the other one is the Omni.

If so, this is likely the W Lakeshore.

What would you say is the best one to choose for a family of 4 that wants something centrally located at a 4star and above at a reasonable price? Last year when we bid we got the knickerbocker. The hotel was good at the price we got but it was a little further north than we wanted. Something around the intercontinental area is more ideal. Thanks so much!

I'm seeing a 4.5* in the Loop zone with Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly for $220.

-- That amenity set has been seen previously with the Wyndham Grand. If the Wyndham, this property is right by the Michigan Ave. bridge.

 

Better yet, I'm seeing a 4.5* in the Mag Mile N-Water Tower area for $216 w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower.

--- That would be a possible match for the Sofitel. If the Sofitel, North but a tad bit less far North than the Knickerbocker and a very nice hotel.

 

I'm seeing a 4.5* Mag Mile N-Water Tower w/Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly for $217. This amenity set has been seen previously with the Omni. There is the chance it may be something not yet reported to the board/ID'd, but it is not unheard of for a hotel to be showing as sold out on the hotel website and have discounted rate inventory available.

 

As noted above, what appears to be the Intercontinental is showing for a bit over $230, but I think the above options are better choices for less.

I ended up just bidding on Price.line and I got the James Hotel and with the taxes etc it ended up cheaper than the price on Hot.wire. Thanks again!
