I'm local to this area so a few more questions in addition to the above...

Are both PATH and the Secaucus Junction train station acceptable? By 'close' to the train station are you willing to drive a short distance (how far??) to the train?

Assuming you are indeed looking for a less expensive option to staying directly in Manhattan, is commuting to the city via bus an acceptable option?
