alochead
I use hotwire often and saw something for the first time today when I was just browsing rates for an upcoming trip but not planning to commit yet. Under Room Type there is a square that says Free Cancellation, and when you hover over it it says there is no fee to cancel yada, yada, and no fees by the hotel if you cancel by X date. The under the Free Cancellation box has all of the normal Hot Rate Hotel information. Have other people seen this, trying to figure out if it is actually a hot rate with free cancellation or a glitch? Attempted to call hotwire but 20 min+ wait times :( Not sure whether to book but I did screenshot it so I would hope they would honor it if need be. Thanks! Link to comment
alochead
I should add that I checked a few other hotels and they did not have the free cancellation box ... just this one. Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)This is a new option that Hot.wire is trying that has been seen on rare occasions. It is not a glitch. Please let us know the details of your trip when you are ready to book and we would be happy to help. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Link to comment
thereuare
... and please read your messages (which will also remove the red box at the top of the page and make the board easier to navigate) I have canceled a HOTWIRE hotel the showed the FREE CANCELLATION... the button didn't work (didn't do anything when clicked), but made a phone call and it was canceled without any issue. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
