s.lynn71
Hi there. First time using/posting so I hope I'm doing it right. Any ideas? I do not want to get stuck at the Congress. Had to stay there once for work and it was bad! Amenities say pool(s), restaurant, indoor pool, fitness center and pet friendly. Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding! I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please run a new search using our BiddingHelper.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities. This is what I see when replicating your search,Pet FriendlyIndoor PoolSmoke FreeFitnessPoolRestaurantBusinessLaundryHi-Speed InternetBlind AccessibleDeaf AccessibleTravel AccessibleRoom AccessibleBathroom AccessibleHandicapped ParkingRoll-in Shower...If this is what you see would my guess be Hilton Hotel and Towers Keep us updated on your progress and let us know what you ultimately decide or if we can be of further help. For future searches/bookings you can do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete list:1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our Bidding.Helper and click the green 'See All Amenities' buttonOR2) search HOT.WIRE (or use the HOT.WIRE tab at Bidding.Helper) and...· click the offer· on the next page click the BOOK NOW link· in the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenities Link to comment
AaronJB
I do not want to get stuck at the Congress. Would you be okay with a similar location or would you rather be closer to the river? s.lynn71
That area is fine it was just the condition of the Congress that our whole group had an issue with. I'm using the better bidding helper now and it looks like the rate is a little different but I'm still watching it. I'll post my results once I'm done. :) Link to comment
AaronJB
You may see a slightly different rate. Sorry to hear about your stay at the Congress - that is one of the city's oldest and most historic hotels, but unfortunately it hasn't been kept up well and I think went into more considerable decline around 15 years ago. Please let me know if you have any city questions or have questions on other hotels. thereuare
Best guess/comments for each: 1) 3* Magnificent Mile area - River North - $108 --> Inn of Chicago 2) 3.5* - Downtown- Millennium Park - Grant Park - $118 --> Essex Inn 3) 4.5* - Magnificent Mile North - Water Tower - $120 --> if you're seeing a RESTAURANT amenity in addition to the others you listed above, my guess here would be the W Chicago Lakeshore Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. AaronJB
This property does have a terrific location right off Michigan Ave. Extremely easy to walk everywhere and transportation isn't far. Tons of restaurants an easy walk away in River North, as well. Please let me know if you have any city questions. Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
