DannaW
Hi! I am hoping that someone could help me identify some hotels for our stay in September. Our trip is for 1 room, 2 adults, 9/26- 9/28. The only set plans we currently have is going to a Cubs game on Saturday so we are pretty open to any area. Currently I am seeing: 4* Downtown- Millenium Park- Grant Park Area for $16980% recommend (when I click on the link to get the full set of amenities it changes to 85% though)Business CenterRestaurantsFitness CenterSelf Service LaundryFree InternetSmoke Free Rooms 4.5* Magnificent Mile North- Water Tower Area Boutique for $19680% recommendBoutique hotelIndoor PoolPoolBusiness CenterInternet AccessRestaurantFitness CenterPet FriendlySelf Service Laundry 4.5* Magnificent Mile North- Water Tower Area for $20895% recommendBoutique hotelFree InternetBusiness CenterRestaurantsFitness CenterSmoke Free Rooms I would much rather stay in the $170 range for the hotel room but it is looking like that might be hard. I have been tracking prices for a few weeks and they don't seem to be going down. If you see any other hotels that I might be missing that are worth looking at please let me know! Thank you very much! Link to comment
AaronJB
Please provide the full set of amenities (including any accessible amenities) and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID the above listings. You can click on the listing, click "book now", then "see all amenities" for the full list. AaronJB
4.5* Mag Mile N-WT -- Likely the W Lakeshore 4.5* Mag Mile N-WT ($208 listing w/Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower)-- Sofitel 4* Downtown-MP-GP -- Not yet ID'd - possibly a new amenity set for the Club Quarters W/M or River Hotel, or the Silversmith has been upgraded to 4*. While unfortunately the most expensive, the potential Sofitel ($208, Mag Mile N-WT, Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower) is the most appealing option. thereuare
I'm seeing a 4* hotel in this zone but a slightly different amenity set: Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, the Hotel Chicago Downtown, Autograph Collection would be my best guess for this one. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. AaronJB
The Hotel Chicago (formerly the Hotel Sax, formerly the House of Blues Hotel although the HOB is still next door) is a nice property and a great location, but I think the Sofitel is a nicer option for $25-30 more. DannaW
So I went in a totally different direction. I saw this hotel pop up this morning for $169 and with the 100% recommended I figured it was the Virgin and I was right! Full Amenities: Free Internet, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Internet Access, Spa Services.Thank you for all of your help! Link to comment

DannaW
I actually did have a question--we are going to be getting in really early on Saturday--probably at the hotel around 8am. Do you have any suggestions for a place to get breakfast or brunch in the area so we can kill some time while we wait to get into our room? Link to comment
AaronJB
Wildberry (http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g35805-d2407503-Reviews-Wildberry_Pancakes_and_Cafe-Chicago_Illinois.html) is an easy recommendation not far from your hotel. Yolk (http://www.yelp.com/biz/yolk-chicago-8) is also not a bad option. If you don't mind going a bit further, I like Xoco (http://www.yelp.com/biz/xoco-chicago), the casual option from famed Frontera Grill chef Rick Bayless. There's also always Doughnut Vault (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-doughnut-vault-chicago). Let me know if you have any other questions. Link to comment

Their casual restaurant, Miss Ricky's, opens at 6 a.m. and the food's pretty good. You could get there, let the check-in people know you arrived early, have an early meal and give the hotel a chance to get a room ready for you, all without leaving the building. Link to comment
