Hello thank you. I was hoping for the palms I don't know what to do. Or where to stay I have two events that weekend to attend one is at the orleans and the other at the convention center. I will keep everything in this thread as mentioned ..it's funny it shows 1 post I have been a member since 2009 I think with a different email. I have had some unbelievable wins over the years..very greatful

If you have been posting under a different account/username we can merge the two and you can use one going forward.

When not attending the event at the convention center or at the palms... what will you be doing? Looking to explore Vegas, in your room working, gamble, relax poolside, etc?

How much is budget a factor and what is your target room rate per nite?

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

Hi the email no longer exists.. lol

I have another question

North end casino hotel

Free Parking fee Internet pet friendly casino fitness pool business

17-20 Sept

72 Canadian /night

Im not sure what the difference is between casino/strip or how to find which hotels they would be. .this rate seems good if you can help identify

Thank you again

Please let us know your thoughts on the above.

Additionally, one of the potential properties above was the Rio, which is a couple of blocks from the Palms and what would appear to be an easy taxi trip from the convention center.

I'm not seeing a 4* PRICELINE EXPRESS on Strip North with this amenity set when searching for these dates.

Can you please run a new search through board's Bidding.Helper on top of the page. Please copy and paste the amenities and price in US Dollars you'll see in the Easy View tab. Please  post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.

Yellowdog.

PS. For future searches/bookings you can do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete list:

1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our Bidding.Helper and click the green 'See All Amenities' button

OR

2) search HOT.WIRE (or use the HOT.WIRE tab at Bidding.Helper) and...

· click the offer

·  on the next page click the BOOK NOW link

·  in the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenities

Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay.

Best guess would be The New Tropicana Las Vegas.

Thank you for the continuous help..I feel stuck the rates are crazy for these days it's my bf first time and it's a surprise for him... I want him to have the vegas experience.. that's still around 600 canadian dollars for that property it seems like a lot..I will keep trying. Thanks for all the help so far

For the 'vegas experience' i think you need to stay on the strip at a themed hotel.. for pure relaxation almost any hotel with a nice pool will do, regardless of whether it is on the strip or not; so really two different things/experiences, imo.

Please post in US Dollars so that all rates on the board are consistent and prices are not subject to interpretation based upon future currency fluctuations.

Keep in mind that most Vegas hotels now charge $25-$30/nite resort fee, which is going to add about $100 to your room cost over 3 nites (and it think you're including this in your $600 Canadian reference above... but you're going to have this resort fee at just about any hotel you book and regardless of how you book it)

What is your budget, per nite, before taxes/fees, in US Dollars?

Lastly, note that there are three large conferences taking place during your dates:

25K attendees from 9/16-9/18

23K attendese from 9/17-9/19

30K attendees from 9/18-9/19

... cumulatively this is an extra 75K visitors in town during your dates, which is why rates are likely higher then what you expected.

If you want to have a guess as to the hotel beforehand (to know that it's a "good" one) then you'll need to use PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE.

Filtering the PRICELINE EXPRESS results for a 3* hotel at $100 or less gives what appears to be the Stratosphere for $88/nite or the Polo Towers Suites for $88/nite.

HOTWIRE has what looks like the Stratosphere (for more than the PRICELINE EXPRESS rate) or SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino for $100/nite.

Are any of these of interest and work for your plans?

Yes, that is the one i believe to be the Polo Towers.

You can try this link: Priceline Express 3* Las Vegas Strip South (confirm your dates on the landing page)

Hey.. so I went to go pay for the hotel the rate was amazing considering an event weekend..all of a sudden there was an error (this was the next morning)and it booted me out in the middle of the transaction. .I had to search again and the price went up to 125 whichmeans 115 cnd to 164 currently

that has never happened to me in all these years of bidding (not the price increase but the change when I put in my credit card)

I list sleep over this to be honest what do I do do you think it could go down or just disappear or get worse

Thank you

Sorry to hear that the transaction wasn't able to be completed. I'd call Price.line and talk to them, but otherwise, if they can't do anything there is no way to know if rates will go down, stay the same or go higher.

Sorry to hear this

It sounds like you tried to complete a transaction at the same time PRICELINE updated the database with new prices and inventory.

Do you see any other property of interest?

At $122/nite for this 3* condo i would sooner take what appears to be the 4* Tresure Island offered on HOTWIRE for $125/nite:

Free Parking

Resort

Casino

Fitness

Pool

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

Golf

Tennis

Spa

Blind Accessible

Deaf Accessible

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Handicapped Parking

Roll-in Shower

I think it's a better property in terms of getting the 'Vegas Experience' for your boyfriend's first time.
