AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please confirm the star rating of the listing. Also, are you 2 adults who want 2 beds? If so, I'd suggest searching for 2 adults and 1 child instead of 3 adults. You may see different options if you do that. Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
Mbovary
Hi sorry the first one was a four star. Any ideas?I tried your child idea ( do you think its safe in terms of getting 2 beds? I was scared they would offer a crib?) . It produced another good option that I would love your guess on if you can please....162 a night 4.5 star, same area but says boutique hotel in titlewith the following amenitiesAmenities Boutique hotel Business center Fitness center Indoor pool(s) Internet access Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Self-service laundry Tennis nearbyThank you for your help and the wonderful service you provide. It has helped me before Link to comment
thereuare
HOTWIRE classifies 'children' at ages 2-17, so receiving a crib shouldn't be a concern (although do make sure that a pullout sofabed would work for your needs as that is a possibility when searching for more than double occupancy, regardless of whether the 'additional' guests are adults or children) For the 4.5* offer above, I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Boutique Indoor Pool Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ... if this is what you're seeing, the Swissotel Chicago would be my best guess for this one. Mbovary
I has been searching 8/28- 8/30, the party of people we are meeting are staying at the Renaissance Blackstone. i dont suppose taking a look at those dates on HOTWIRE you can make any suggestions of hotels that may be that one or nearby? We are going to a wedding at the Art Institute so we are trying to be near there and to get 2 beds because im a lousy sleeper. Thanks for your help Link to comment
AaronJB
The concern that I have in terms of staying at/near the Blackstone Renaissance is that if you are going to the wedding at the AI and browsing around the city for the remainder, the Swiss (and other hotels near the river) would allow you to be near the AI and yet, an easy stroll from Michigan Ave (and not far from River North restaurants.) The Blackstone is a very nice hotel, but just not centrally located. Please let others going know about Betterbidding; we'd be very happy to help them, as well. When I search for 2a/2c for your dates (you may see slightly different prices), I'm seeing 4.5* Downtown-MP-GP $161 Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Tennis, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Roll-in Shower.-- Likely Swiss. 4* Downtown-MP-GP $143 Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Roll-in Shower-- Likely Hyatt, although I think the Swiss (which is a couple of doors down) is a nicer option. 4* Mag Mile-RN $133 Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Pet Friendly-- Likely the Sheraton, which is literally on the flip side of the river from the Hyatt. 4* Loop $161 Restaurant, Pool, Indoor Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly-- Possible match for the Palmer House Hilton. If this is the Palmer House, wouldn't be a bad option as it couldn't be closer to the Art Institute, is right by a Red Line stop and isn't as far South as the Blackstone. Would any of these options be of interest? heartpetal
Could you please help me having technical difficulties - I am not trolling but was forced to repeat this search again - I have 2 profiles by accident on this site and so am reinventing the wheel with the one I can remember and finally my boyfriend had his money together for us to make a reservation for the 28th -30th and we are trying to get 2 beds so are putting in 2 adults and one child in search... What is popping up is 8/28-8/20 4.5 for 163 and a 4.0 for 143. We are trying to be near the art institute for a wedding, could you please give me your guesses and /or recommendations of anything else you may be seeing. The amenities will not paste no matter what I do. Link to comment

AaronJB
Either the Hyatt or Swiss would be a very easy walk to the Art Institute plus be convenient to Michigan Ave and not far from River North, with the Swiss being - I think - a nicer hotel. Both of these should be perfect for your plans location-wise.
