lor74 Posted May 25, 2015 Report Share Posted May 25, 2015 The HOTWIRE listing was shown as: Las Olas - Downtown - Port Everglades area hotel, 3.5*, still gathering reviews, no amenities listed. I was not happy finding out that I would be staying at the Royal Beach Apartments. My first thought was that I would keep it because of the location and the fact that I only needed one night before a cruise. After reading many bad reviews, my biggest concern was that we would be stranded with our luggage after an early flight arrival, and a listed 4pm check-in time...which could end up being later than 4pm according to some people. I called HOTWIRE to try and cancel, with my main argument being that I booked a 3.5* HOTEL, not an apartment vacation rental. The customer service rep called someone at the property, and they agreed to the cancellation. A full refund has been issued. I am still in shock at how fast the cancellation went through, as I was ready for a fight! Link to comment
