The pool is good to have for the kids. It is a smokey, musty dump. We left after being there for 20 minutes as several in my party felt sick from the smells and two who have asthma issues were effected by the smoke saturated carpet, curtains, bedding, etc. We drove to another hotel and booked two rooms there, eating this booking as a loss and a lesson learned. I have complained about the property to Hotwire, but I'm sure it will do no good. The lesson I learned on this was this: when I selected the property it indicated that "we are still gathering guest reviews for this property". I will never book another hotwire property again that doesn't show hotwire guest recommendations and/or reviews. Link to comment

In the future if you have an issue with a hotel you should first speak to management to see if there is anything they can do to resolve the issue (which didn't seem possible in this instance... but maybe they would have offered a refund if you brought the issues to their attention). If you're unable to resolve the issue with the hotel then, while still at the hotel, call HOTWIRE and see if they can help in resolving the problem... they will usually call the hotel and try to resolve any issues, and if unable to, offer some type of refund/compensation. However, it is difficult for them to take any action if the stay is in the past. Hope your future stays are more to your liking and represent a better value than this one turned out to be for you.
