yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding! Please keep all posts in the same thread since posts are for the same stay. For the Upper West Side hotels. I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process. Please run a new search using our BiddingHelper.com tool at the top of this page. Once the search is completed, use the EASY VIEW TAB and click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing to view the complete set of amenities. Then copy and paste the amenities, as well as the price, in a reply to this thread and we will then have a look at this offer. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Yellowdog. PS. You can't post links to HOT.WIRE search results as they contain a session parameter which won't allow them to work on any computer other than your own (and they expire in about 30 minutes). thereuare
I'll add to the above... Do you need to or have reason to to be in the Upper West Side for this trip... as this is not typically the most convenient location for the average tourist (as it goes a bit far north) What are your plans/needs in a hotel for this stay? carolzc
Sorry for the both posts, I didn't Know. This options seems to me the best relation cost-offer (4 stars hotel until $220-night). My first option is Chelsea, but in HOTWIRE this hotel don't have reviews. I've been in NYC just once in 2012. I'm going to US Open - Flushing Meadows and tourist points, so I can be flexible with areas in Manhattan. using the BiddingHelper.com: Chelsea:FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Smoke-free rooms, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access Upper West Side: 1 - FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower Upper west side 2 - FULL AMENITIES: Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access Thanks! carolzc
Do you think book one of these hotels now or near the travel date? Link to comment
AaronJB
September is not a slow period in NYC and a week in NYC is a fairly long stay to get a deal. If you see something appealing, I'd take it now. If you wait, you do risk the possibility that a different listing will replace it and/or prices will go up. Please keep us updated with what you decide and let us know if you have additional questions. thereuare
While nobody can say if rates will come down, or move higher, between now and your trip, there is another risk besides 'price risk'... All of these hotels are very highly reviewed, so if you're happy with any of them and think they will work for your needs, the other risk in waiting is that the hotel you want disappears entirely and is no longer offered (or possibly replaced by a different hotel in the zone that you may not like as much). thereuare
A slightly new amenity set for The Algonquin Hotel Times Square would be my best guess here.
