Hotwire Hotel: 5* Las Vegas (Strip North) Wynn Las Vegas

Hi,

I'm going to visit Las Vegas from 4th~7th December with my friend. (total 2 persons)

We will stay in Wynn on December 6th, which is the last night in Vegas,

so I want to bid 4th~6th December(2 nights) in Las Vegas, and I need an advice for this bid.

1) We want to stay around either Wynn hotel area or Mandalay bay hotel area. (We will watch cirque de soleil shows)

Our maximum budget is around $115-120/nite, and total budget including tax and resort fee and all that would be around $320/2nites.

(Of course if budget could be lower than this rate, I will be more than happy! cuz we already raised our budget due to expensive NY hotels  :( )

Is it realistic budget? Could you recommend bidding strategy?

2) Is a 4-5* hotel for this budget unrealistic?

I will wait for your response.
Thank you for your help in advance.

Jae

Would the Trump be an acceptable outcome? It is near the Wynn, but it is located slightly off-strip and does not have a casino... so while a very nice hotel, it does not have a 'vegas feel' and is not that centrally located (although do-able and they do have a scheduled shuttle to/from the strip)

Let us know the above and we'll then be able to evaluate your options.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

If the Trump is acceptable then it enables you to include the Strip North zone when bidding... if not acceptable, then you can't bid the Strip North zone (at the 5* or 4* level)

Also, it may be within your budget, depending upon whether your budget is $120/nite before taxes/fees or $320 all-in... $120/nite room rate may be possible, but after taxes/fees this would likely be more along the lines of $350 all-in (resort fee is $32/nite which you're likely going to find at many/most of the higher end hotels in the strip)... so this is likely (or at last very close to your $120/nite budget, but not necessarily within your $320 all-in budget.

You could get a 4* in the Strip South zone for less than $320 all-in, but it may likely be the Sls Las Vegas Hotel and Casino which is in the very northern part of the zone and not what is generally considered to be the 'main' part of the strip (although at less than $200 all-in it may be something you want to consider if budget is more important than convenience/location)

You could likely get the Luxor or the Tropicana, each for ~$230 all-in... or Treasure Island for $300 all-in.

I don't want Sls Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, since it is too northern and

too far away from Mandalay Bay as well.

It seems like I can get Luxor around $230 areas without bidding,

so I wouldn't want to bid for that as well.

I would rather want to bid for good location/convenience/luxurious hotels within $350 all-in budgets.

Do you want to try for Treasure Island at $300 all-in OR Trump at $350 all-in?

... do either of these work for your needs?

I'm sorry, but I think I won't go with Trump,

cause I looked at google maps again, and it's farther away from strip area than I thought.

I'm really sorry.

1. Is there any other 5* Vegas hotels in main strip area you recommend to bid?

2. for example, do you think hotels like Cosmopolitan/Vdara/MGM Grand/ARIA/Mandalaybay possible to bid within my budget?

I'm really sorry to change my mind after all the answers you researched for me.

This is my first time visiting Las Vegas, so I'm not familiar with their hotels.

As there are hotel(s) in the zone(s) that you're not willing to accept, you can't bid on PRICELINE for this trip... you will need to use PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE.

What about the Treasure Island option... that is the best of what i'm seeing at the moment?

How many shows are you planning on seeing at Mandalay Bay, as although the Luxor is close, that whole part of the strip is very far south and not very exciting (as far as hotel hopping, imo)

What is your rate for 12/6 at the Wynn and is it refundable?

Sorry for late reply.

I think I have to use PRICELINE EXPRESS or HOTWIRE as you told me.

We spent higher budget for Wynn, cause it's only for 1 day,

and we really wanted to stay in Wynn at least for once.

(and it's nonrefundable.)

I will use links on the board to begin my travel purchases for PRICELINE and HOTWIRE.

Thank you so much for all your comments and suggestions.

it really helped me so much.

Thank you!

I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOT.WIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links.

If you repeat your search using our Bidding.Helper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities then what you have listed above?

Thank you for using the board's HOT.WIRE or PRICE.LINE links to start your purchases and searches.

I used BiddingHelper.com.com to find out full amenities,

but it seems like they do not show you every result you can see from hotwire.com,

I only see 2 options, and I'm not sure which one is which.

(and #2 here seems like #3 from my previous list based on its rate, but recommendation rate and number of total reviews are different.

anyways here are what I found:

#1

$175

FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Resort, Suite, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby, Tennis nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower

Best guess would be Venetian.

#2 $207 90% recommended (total 105 reviews)

I'm not sure sine the information keep changing for this property. But my guess would be Encore.

only see 2 options, and I'm not sure which one is which.

(and #2 here seems like #3 from my previous list based on its rate, but recommendation rate and number of total reviews are different.

The property with the higher number of total reviews (400+) would my guess be Wynn.

Free parking / Casino / Fitness center / Pool(s) / Restaurant(s) / Business center / Internet access / Golf nearby / Spa services

Accessible for hearing impaired / Accessible path of travel / In-room accessibility / Accessible bathroom / Accessible parking / Roll-in shower

These are hotel amenities that I see right now(after purchasing), but only amenities that I could see before purchasing were as follows:

In addition, this one was not listed on biddinghelper.com's hotwire easy view.

Anyways, thank you for your help!

1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com and click the green 'See All Amenities' button

OR

2) search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...

  • click the offer
