Hello,

I am a new comer to Priceline. My friend told me she got excellent price here. So I just want to try...

Actually I will go to NYC with my grandparents, so i am looking for the convenient and quiet hotel.

The ideal area for me is Time Square, Midtown area, Madison Square, or the area close to the places we should visit in NYC.

My target hotel is 3.5* or higher and my budget is not higher than 250 per night (including all the tax and fee).

Is it possible to bid such price in Priceline?

I started my biding this morning, from 130-180. But it still doesn't work.

If it is possible, could someone give me any suggestion?

I appreciate!!!!!!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

... I will go to NYC with my grandparents...

To get started, please confirm... are you looking for 1room/3guests OR are you bidding on two rooms?

Which zones did you include in your bidding?

Before bidding any further, note that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed (a likely probability since hotels in NYC have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed and rooms with two beds are often considered an upgrade). While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request.

If this is not a risk you're willing to accept, HOTWIRE would still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy and ensure sleeping accommodations for everyone you include in your search (although this usually means two beds, the second 'bed' could be a sofabed, rollaway, etc)... or use PRICELINE EXPRESS if you can find a property that offers the 'Bed Choice' option and one of the offered options is a room with two beds (or other room configuration that will accommodation you and your grandparents)
